We had a presentation, where we educated learners, about what it means to be an Engineer? How to be an Engineer? and where to study for an Engineering Degree, including available Bursaries, and financial aid schemes.

We had Top Achievers for grade 8,9,10,11 and 12 from the Manyeleti district, and they received various prizes including framed certificates. During the event we also had an Epilepsy competition, whereby participants had to come up with a poster pertaining to, what is Epilepsy? The top three learners were also awarded with artwork hampers to assist them write their creativity. Epilepsy is one of our key areas at focus, and we are passionate about creating awareness around it.  Medical Women Association of South Africa (MWASA) also hosted a health talk around teenage pregnancy and sexual health awareness.

The purpose was to motivate and encourage learners, that education is cool, and they too have a future and can break the cycle of poverty if they persevere in achieving the best, and focus on education.

A Special Thank You to the Medical Women Association of South Africa (MWASA) and the Manyeleti Circuit, who partnered with us on the career day, and helped steered the programme into a success.

Let us keep working together, in making a change in the community and instill the culture of learning.
