On the 12th of July GladAfrica Foundation held it’s annual career day at Mugena High School in Hluvukani village Mpumalanga. We hosted learners from grade 10, 11 & 12 where we also honoured the top learners of each grade with various prizes.

We believe that everyone has a right to learning and realising their dreams, that their circumstances does not define their future. We encourage, bring hope to the hopeless to dream big and see a bright future ahead that they can be game changers, end the scourge of poverty and re write their negative story to a generational positive change.

In the words of Nelson Mandela:

“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world”

We also were honoured by the representatives from the Epilepsy SA Mpumalanga branch who gave a very informative talk about the Epilepsy condition. They shared information such as what is epilepsy, what causes epilepsy, what do you do if someone has an epileptic attack, etc.? The feedback from the students as well as the teachers was clear that they truly appreciated the knowledge that was shared, and it truly opened their eyes.

We left so humbled and filled with great warmth that a light was sparked on someone’s life and from this day on they will focus on pursuing their dreams knowing that nothing is impossible and that the “World is their Oyster”.

Education & Career Development

Our passion is to empower our schools with the resources and tools to embed a culture of learning and engender a will to succeed in every learner.

Our economy will grow only when our classrooms deliver learners with the ability to participate fully in the economy and when the attitude of learners and teachers alike embrace, foster and value education as an imperative to achieve meaningful development, growth and prosperity.
